The QA repair operations take place in the general assembly unit of the plant. The QA unit footprint where those activities take place is situated at the end of the main production conveyor. The manufacturing team pass a finished vehicle to the quality team – the vehicle is then processed through a process of inspection and repair by quality personnel – the paint repair technicians are part of that process. At the end of the inspection and repair process, the final finished vehicle is passed from quality to logistics and then on its way to its final customer. As issues arise, the ability to be able to fix dings/bumps and effect paint repairs in an efficient and timely manner is key within the repair process and we are keen to find and train suitable candidates to support us in that role. You will work in the repair areas and report into the shift supervisor. The role is shift based eventually, once you have completed your apprenticeship.

In-house training plus the candidate will follow a Level 3 Apprenticeship programme and study towards a Level 3 in Vehicle Damage Paint Technician. This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West. If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent, they will be required to complete a Level 2 Functional Skill in the relevant subject.

Opportunity to join the Stellantis Quality Repair team as a full-time metal and paint repair technician.
