Be More is a unique portal which can open up an array of opportunities to develop your skills and find an apprenticeship…
What can an apprenticeship offer you?
Apprenticeships are a valuable way to earn a qualification whilst working. Currently you can work towards an apprenticeship from levels Intermediate up to a Master’s degree. Depending on the level and type they can take between 1 to 5 years to complete.
If needed, you can also work towards gaining English and Maths qualifications as part of your apprenticeship during your paid working hours. Although an apprenticeship is a qualification and a minimum of 20% of your time will be spent studying, you will be an employee and therefore receive pay and other workplace benefits.
As a minimum, apprentices aged 16-19, or 19+ in their first year, will be paid ÂŁ5.28 per hour, although this will be increasing in April 2024. For those 19+ who have completed their first year, they will be paid National Minimum wage or National Living wage corresponding to their age, the same as any other employee. You will also receive at least 20 days holiday plus bank holidays. For apprentices who have experienced being in the care of the local authority and are under the age of 25 when they begin the apprenticeship, they may also be eligible for a bursary.
