Depending on the role, you don’t always need qualifications or previous work experience in the sector to get a job in health and social care. What’s important is having the right values, behaviours and attitudes to work effectively with people who need care and support.
Whether you’re already qualified and looking to return to practice, unemployed, a school/college student considering your options, a graduate looking for post-graduate schemes, or are working in another area there are different routes to choose from.
Services within primary care provide the first point of contact in the healthcare system, acting as the ‘front door’ of the NHS. Primary care includes general practice, community pharmacy, dental and optometry services.
We work in partnership with a variety of external organisations such as Education Providers, Step into Health, Princes Trust, Job Centres, Liverpool Social Care Partnership, Skills for Care , plus many more, to inform and inspire people within our local communities. We support LCR residents to gain knowledge and experience, helping them to gain employability skills.
