The successful candidate will be learning how to service and repair all makes of motor vehicles, working with hand/power tools and how vehicle service and repair is impacted by legislative, regulatory and ethical requirements, including health and safety law and environmental procedures.

Intermediate

  • Learning how to service and repair all makes & models of motor vehicles
  • Learning how vehicle service and repair is impacted by legislative, regulatory and ethical requirements, including health and safety law and environmental procedures
  • Select and use tools and equipment, mechanical and electrical measuring tools, and diagnostic equipment.

 

  • The Apprenticeship includes at least 20% of your working hours training. Training will take place at Hugh Baird College on a weekly day release. 
  • Autocare technician L2 Apprenticeship Standard

 

On a successful completion, apprentices will be eligible for the following job roles or further studies.

  • A Level 3 Apprenticeship in Light Vehicle (Progression Route)
  • Contracted or permanent job within the industry
